The route of Le Dakar 2010 with 9000 km promises to be a major highlight in the Atacama desert. The start, again in Buenos Aires, on January 1, 2010 and the first three days of the rally will be especially long and heavy. The five stages will then take place in the driest and thirsty part of the world: the Atacama desert. The rest is on January 9, 2010 to Antofagasta. After the rest day, the rally will go further towards the north of Chile. This part of the rally will be the heaviest and the highest temperatures in the shortest liasons and the majority of sand under the wheels.

The last part of the rally will be in the character of landscape change. Slowly the sand will be exchanged for small shrubs and the closer the rally at the finish line is in Buenos Aires is the higher trees.

The Dakar 2010 Dakar-certainly a worthy course to peak again as the Atacama.
